The Tokyo Marui MK18 Mod.1 is made to a stunning standard using majoritively Alloy, with the exception of the Pistol Grip and Stock which are made using a tough and quality-feeling Polymer. The Handguard is a fully licensed Daniel Defense design which features numbered rail slots as well as appropriate trademark info. A removable Sling Loop is installed on the Handguard out of the box, and the full length top 20mm rail has a set of Flip Up Ironsights ready to go. This top rail can easily accept a 20mm Sight/Scope/Optic to improve aesthetics and target acquisition. The Flash Hider is a four-prong design which can be removed from the gun (once the grub screw has been removed) to reveal a 14mm CCW Thread underneath for the installation of Suppressor, Tracer Units or any Muzzle Device that's compatible.
The Receiver is a typical AR platform layout which will be familiar to most, with a Safe / Semi / Automatic Fire Selector, standard Bolt Release, Magazine Release and Charging Handle. By pulling back the Charging Handle the Dust Cover will open to reveal a Rotary HOP Unit which can be used to make precise adjustments to the amount of backspin on the BB, helping theoretically improve range and consistency with the right BBs and settings. The Receiver also features beautiful engraved Colt Trademarks which really complete the package, as well as supplying a unique serial number to identify your RIF. The rear of the Receiver has an ambidextrous Sling Plate which can be used by itself or in conjunction with the front Sling Loop to help carry the replica.
The box is neatly laid out in true Tokyo Marui style, and includes an 82rnd Pressed-Steel Recoil Shock Magazine (which activates the Bolt-Stop feature), SOPMOD Charging Adapter and a detailed (but sadly very Japanese) Instruction Manual with some translations.
